Ingredients

1 Cup Kodo millet

2 tsp Ginger and garlic paste

½ Cup Carrots

¼ Cup Peas

¼ Cup Corn

¼ Cup Onion

¼ Cup Capsicum

2 Green chilli
-
1 Tbsp Coriander leaves

1Tsp Jeera
-
2-3 Cloves
-
2 Bayleaf
-
2 Tsp Red chilli powder

1 Tsp turmeric powder

Salt for taste

1Tbsp Ghee or Oil
Ready in 20 minutes
Preparation

Wash and Soak Kodo millet for 2 Hours.

In a pan or pressure cooker add Ghee let it heat and then add jeera, bay leaf, and cloves. Roast the dry masala.

Add the chopped onions and ginger garlic paste, Saute it for 3 mins. Now add all the vegetables and the soaked Kodo millet. Roast all of them together.

Add all the spices and salt and roast well.

Now add 2 cups of water and cook it for 15 mins or 3 whistles in the pressure cooker.

Garnish it with coriander and grated coconut. Serve hot or warm.
Tips
Soaking the millet reduces the cooking time and pulao tastes a lot better.
